The Skills of Tomorrow's AI Workforce 2027: report launch

For the fourth year running we are asking the same question: which AI skills do organisations actually need, and what is standing between wanting to train people and doing it.

Earlier editions looked at skills (2024), roles (2025) and organisational readiness (2026). The 2026 report drew on 80 L&D experts and more than 10,000 analysed job postings, and found a gap that is hard to look away from: 69 percent of organisations want to invest in AI skills, and 20 percent of people actually take part in training.

This is where we present the 2027 findings for the first time, to the people who helped build them and to anyone responsible for capability in their organisation. Presentation of the results, then an open conversation about what they mean for your own plans for the year.
