AI training with demonstrable quality: NLQF Level 6

The level of an AI course is hard to compare. Our programme is classified at NLQF Level 6, comparable to bachelor level. So you know exactly at what level your employees are developing, nationally and internationally.

  • Demonstrable quality

You invest in a learning programme comparable to bachelor level. Not a one-off knowledge session, but skills your employees apply directly in their work.

  • Independently assured level

The knowledge and skill level of your employees is independently assessed and assured. You know exactly what a completed programme is worth.

  • Easy to justify

Programmes align with national standards, which simplifies internal and external accountability - from budget holder to regulator.

EU AI Act

Getting the basics right: the EU AI Act and AI Essentials

The EU AI Act is the first comprehensive legal framework for AI in Europe, with rules on risks, transparency, human oversight and data quality. Organisations using AI face obligations around risk management, governance and employee training. With the AI Essentials programme you make sure every employee has:

  • An understanding of what AI is and what it can and cannot do
  • Insight into the opportunities and risks of AI in their own work context
  • Basic skills to apply AI safely, responsibly and efficiently
  • Awareness of regulation such as the EU AI Act and its impact on their own work

By rolling out AI Essentials organisation-wide you lay a foundation for responsible AI adoption and reduce the risk of compliance and reputational issues.

Blended learning

In-company training that sticks: blended learning

Many organisations choose either e-learning or a single training day. Both have limitations: e-learning lacks application and assurance, and a one-off workshop rarely leads to lasting behavioural change. That is why we work with a blended learning method:

Online modules

Flexible knowledge building at your own pace, fitted around the job.

Practical assignments

Focused on your own work context, so what is learned delivers direct value to your organisation.

Live sessions - in-company or online

Deepening, interaction and application with our teachers: at your location or online.

Learning becomes a continuous process in which employees build skills step by step and apply them directly. Not just more knowledge, but real adoption of AI in processes, ways of working and decision-making.

Blended programme, single training day or e-learning?

How our blended in-company approach compares to the alternatives:

Amsterdam Data Academy blended programme Single training day E-learning only
Application Practical assignments in your own work context Often stops at inspiration Theory without application
Level assurance Independently classified at NLQF Level 6 No assessment or assurance Level unclear, often unfinished
Behavioural change Continuous learning process: build and apply directly Rarely a lasting effect Non-committal, without guidance
Flexibility Online modules + live sessions on location or online One fixed moment for everyone Flexible, but without interaction
Guidance Teachers and AI experts from the field Only during the session itself No personal guidance

Three levels within your organisation

Effective AI adoption requires a layered approach. Not everyone needs to become an expert, but everyone must be able to participate. We distinguish three levels:

Level 1

Most chosen starting point

AI Essentials

A shared foundation of AI knowledge and skills for the entire organisation, regardless of role or department.

  • Organisation-wide awareness of opportunities, risks and responsible use
  • Basic skills to use AI tools effectively in daily work
  • Foundation for the training requirements of the EU AI Act

Level 2

AI Practitioners

One or more employees per department who drive concrete AI applications.

  • Develop and implement AI solutions, such as AI agents for HR, sales, marketing or operations
  • Translate organisational goals into practical AI use cases for their team
  • Act as internal point of contact and sparring partner for colleagues and management

Level 3

AI Experts

Technically oriented professionals who deploy AI strategically and go beyond individual applications.

  • Develop their own AI models, applications and data-driven products
  • Build production-ready AI systems with techniques such as RAG, vector databases and LangChain
  • Set the direction for the organisation's AI strategy, architecture and innovation roadmap

Frequently asked questions

In-company AI training

Where does the in-company AI training take place?
Wherever you want: at your location, at an external venue or (partly) online. The blended approach combines online modules with live sessions - which we schedule in-company or online, whatever works best for your teams.
What does an in-company AI training cost?
That depends on the number of participants, the chosen levels and the degree of customisation. In a free consultation call we map out your situation, after which you receive a concrete proposal including investment.
What group size is this suitable for?
From a single team to the entire organisation. We roll out AI Essentials organisation-wide; AI Practitioners and AI Experts are trained per team or department in smaller groups.
What exactly is NLQF Level 6?
The NLQF is the Dutch qualifications framework that independently classifies the level of programmes. Level 6 is comparable to bachelor level. Amsterdam Data Academy is the first and only data & AI training provider classified at this level: learning outcomes, content and level have been independently assessed.
Does this help us comply with the EU AI Act?
The EU AI Act expects organisations, among other things, to ensure that employees working with AI have sufficient AI literacy. With AI Essentials you lay that foundation organisation-wide. In the consultation call we discuss what your situation requires.
Can we invoice VAT-exempt?
Yes. As a CRKBO-registered training provider we invoice VAT-exempt. For organisations that cannot (fully) reclaim VAT - such as healthcare, education and government - that saves 21% directly.
