Payment options
Through your employer, with a voucher or in instalments: there's usually a way that works. Not sure which fits you? We're happy to think it through with you, free and without obligation.
Option 1
Through your employer
We can invoice your employer directly, with 30 days to pay. If it helps, we'll give you a training plan to discuss internally.
Option 2
With a government contribution
A UWV training voucher or a municipal voucher can cover (part of) the cost. We're on the approved lists, CRKBO-registered, and glad to help with the application.
Option 3
Paying yourself
Pay the full amount at once, or spread it: 3 or 5 instalments at no extra cost, or an interest-free loan through TechMeUp. You choose when you register.
1. Secure up to €5,000 in financial support from UWV
We are contracted by UWV under the Procurement Framework for Training Services. This means we are one of the educational institutes in the Netherlands authorized to provide training that helps people return to the labor market.
Education and reskilling help you find a job that suits your abilities. Your contact person at UWV can advise you, so always consult them before you start.
Will UWV pay for my education? UWV only pays for education if it is necessary to find other suitable work. Find your local RMT (Regional Mobility Team) and ask for more information.
2. Use your study budget on a learning platform
All our courses are available on some of the most used learning platforms in the Netherlands:
Does your employer let you use your learning budget on one of these platforms? Search for “Amsterdam Data Academy” there to find the course you're interested in.
3. Get an interest-free loan from TechMeUp
Money should never stand in the way of tech education. That's where TechMeUp's interest-free loan comes in. This foundation invests in people who are motivated to retrain in tech but can't afford the tuition fee, or need to bridge a loss of income while studying. Together with partners like Amsterdam Data Academy, they work towards a more diverse and inclusive tech sector. Whether you are 25 or 55, Dutch or not.
4. Pay in installments
Pay the full amount at once, or spread it over 3 or 5 installments at no extra cost. You choose when you register.
5. Regional and municipal training vouchers
Your municipality or region may cover (part of) your training costs.
Amsterdam Municipality Training Voucher
(Scholingsvoucher Gemeente Amsterdam)
- For residents of Amsterdam aged 27 or older with a low income and few assets.
- Not for people receiving benefits.
- The training must be aimed at a job with sufficient demand.
- Also available if you're self-employed.
The Hague Region Training Voucher
(Scholingsvoucher Haaglanden Leert Door)
- For residents of The Hague, Rijswijk, Delft, Midden-Delfland and Westland.
- 18 years or older, not yet retired.
- For people with a low income, self-employed people, unemployed job seekers, or people with at most an MBO-4 education.
- Up to €3,500 reimbursement.
Utrecht Region Training Voucher
(Scholingsvoucher Maak je Stap)
- For residents of the province of Utrecht, the Amersfoort region, or Gooi en Vechtstreek.
- 18 years or older.
- For training in ICT.
- Up to €5,000 reimbursement per person per two years. Apply before your course starts; one voucher per two calendar years.
- Covers course fees and study materials, paid directly to us. Laptops and travel are not included.
